Internet Safety is the focus of community workshops
CARNEYS POINT TWP., N.J.—Salem County 2000 invites community members to workshops on Internet safety. In addition to sharing valuable safety tips, experts will discuss how to safeguard against online predators and how to set up a My Space or Facebook account.
These workshops, offered at no cost, will be held at Salem Community College’s Carneys Point Campus, Tillis Hall, Room T112, 460 Hollywood Ave. and at SCC’s Salem Center, 174 East Broadway, Room 106. Each session will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Individuals may choose from the following sessions:
- Tuesday, Oct. 21 at the Carneys Point campus,
- Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Salem Center,
- Thursday, Nov. 6 at the Carneys Point campus,
- Monday, Nov. 10 at the Carneys Point campus and
- Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Carneys Point campus.
Workshops are presented by members of the N.J. State Police Cyber Crimes/Digital Technology Units and the Salem County Prosecutor’s Office. Salem County 2000, a volunteer partnership dedicated to community and individual improvement through lifelong learning, sponsors the Internet Safety community workshops through the support of the Salem Health and Wellness Foundation.
